As the interest in mobile and social reach fever pitch for Web business professionals, so will the demand for analytics. Webtrends, a leading Web analytics provider, has apparently listened to the needs of marketers, rolling out several enhancements to satisfy their clients' objectives; namely, better insights on the mobile experience of their users.

Webtrends has improved its platform with ready-to-use pre-defined reports for all major mobile platforms, enhanced its Analytics Insights offering, and added new capabilities including additional report measures (e.g. single page view visits, entry page visits and bounce rates that measure relevance of content).

Webtrends also noted in its announcement that career network Monster is using its platform to measure key performance indicators (KPI) for its recently released iPhone app. Monster has been using Webtrends Mobile Analytics On Demand to test their application's performance, develop conversion funnels and prioritize further application development.

"Just as Monster.com is doing with their new mobile application, marketers are reaching out to customers and prospects in creative ways to provide service, show products and enhance relationships," said Casey Carey, vice president of Product, Webtrends. "Analytics On Demand helps our customers use relevant content to connect the dots across marketing channels, turning prospects into customers, and customers into brand loyalists."
