Wouldn't it be nice if you could display the activity occurring on your Facebook wall directly to your website visitors? Now you can with a great jQuery plugin called FB.WALL.

The jQuery plugin, which uses Facebook's Graph API, allows designers and developers to display the Facebook wall of a user, a page or an app on their own website. As you might imagine, the potential uses are numerous. For example, you could opt to replace your weblog with the plugin (to showcase all of your social activity) or the plugin could be used within a sidebar of your weblog.

The design of the wall matches near perfectly Facebook's own look and feel and can be customized easily via CSS. A fair amount of control is provided through the use of the available parameters - comments can be turned on/off, avatars can be set to a default image, and the number of posts to display can be controlled.

The code itself is relatively lightweight:

The contest asks competitors to solve a number of alogorithmic based problem statesments quickly and of course correctly. There will be 3 rounds, and the 25 hackers making it to the end will be flown to Facebook headquarters for the final round of competition. The prizes include $5,000 USD and title as "world champion" for the top hacker, $2,000 for 2nd place, $1,000 for 3rd, and $100 for the rest of the top 25.

Registration opens December 20 and the first round will take place in early January where competitors will have 72 hours to work on 3 algorithmic problems. You need to solve just one question to advance to Online Round 1 - do you have what it takes?
