New GoDaddy, Sedo Deal Offers Access to Millions More Domains

Domain marketplace Sedo extended its partnership with GoDaddy, giving customers of the registrar and hosting provider the ability to purchase previously owned premium domain names that Sedo users have listed as "Make Offer." Sedo and GoDaddy's initial partnership, which began in January 2012, only featured "Buy Now" listings

NamePro’s Live Auction

The live auction is held twice monthly and features domains for sale in a dynamic online even that is actually hosted by a live auctioneer team. Domains will be added immediately to the silent auction and will become eligible for the live auction when a verified bid is received that is within 50% of the reserve. Reserve prices are required for all auction lots and a 5% final valuation fee is due upon successful transaction.

There are some restrictions of course. NamePros will not sell explicit adult names, sub-domains or non-standard domains, domains expiring in less than 30 days (unless renewal is included) or IDN domain names (unless they are identified as IDN with the punycode in the description).

Sedo Brokers Sale of Logo.com for 500K

Don't believe those who say the domain name market has cooled down.

Logo.com, LLC just announced that they have purchased the Logo.com domain name for $500,000.

The company plans to develop an online marketplace to sell graphic design and small business services. The website is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2011.

“The domain name Logo.com gives us an immediate presence in the online logo design space.” said Alan Townsend. “Our primary goal is to provide small business customers with affordable, high quality logo designs that help them successfully establish their company’s identity. Long term, our goal is to also provide customers with additional synergistic products and services that they’ll need to operate their businesses. We have a tremendous opportunity to market these products and services to our customers while their businesses are still in the startup phase.”
