One of the most popular blogging networks in Blogger.com has been overrun of late with Blog Spam or Splogs. It's become a major problem namely because it's forcing poor search results and wasting disk space and bandwidth of blogger. So what is the owner of Blogger (Google) doing about it? Most recently, they have implemented Captcha, a type of challenge-response test used in computing in order to determine whether or not the user is human. You may have seen Captcha at work when trying to log in to secure websites. The most common type include the distortion of letters or a sequence of letters. Sometimes referred to as a reverse turing test, Captchas are used to prevent bots from using various types of services such as free email accounts.
