MyPoints Survey Points to Jump in Online Holiday Shopping for 2005

More Americans are now looking forward to spending more money this holiday season online than last, according to MyPoints.com, a premier frequent shopping website.  According to its recent survey of over 1,000 of its members, MyPoints.com predicts that Q4 online spending will be up in 2005, with more than half of those polled planning to do 54% or more of their holiday shopping online this season. Coupled with a just-released survey by the National Retail Federation (NRF), which predicts overall holiday retail sales will increase 5.0 percent over last year to $435.3 billion, retailers could experience dramatic gains.
