The Only Worthless Innovation is a Discarded One

Unfortunately, not every business that creates innovative products succeeds. If you have a promising idea, but it appears (at least to you) that the innovation will never be profitable or you just don't have the resources to make it the best big thing, do not give up on it just yet. Modify, upgrade or improve it if it helps or sell the rights to another company if necessary but whatever you do - just don't forget about it. Even if the good idea is not possible for one's own company, someone else may be able to help it see life.  It is that support that Cambrian House (beware the very weird home page today - it wasn't like this yesterday) is offering to those ideas you just can't seem to get started and take to the next level of profitability. It's called "crowd-sourced software" and Cambrian House compensates innovators of ideas and contributors to ideas for as long as their work drives profit - essentially providing shares in a company.

How does it work?
From the site: "Each project starts with 1500 Royalty Points. Up to 150 points are allotted to the inventor of the idea, and the remaining points are allocated to development tasks for the product. These tasks will be given different point values depending on their complexity. Inventors are welcome to contribute work on the product themselves, increasing their share of Royalty Points. The whole idea is to tie productivity to reward. The more the community does, the more the community benefits -- including you!"

In short... you think it, crowds test it and build it, they (Cambrian House) sell it and you profit.
