Microsoft, announced that its Live Search is out of its beta testing phase and
is now the main search tool at MSN.com. Available in almost 50 markets
worldwide, the new search product (which many are debating is providing a
serious threat to Yahoo and Google) offers users a personal search homepage, allowing them to
use the service to find and track news, images, video, RSS feeds and blogs
online. Live Local Search is also out of beta (and available in the UK) and
includes street-level imagery, mobile integration and several other
user-customization tools. The recent flurry of activity in the search and software space makes for
wonderful opportunities for those interested in Web success. We'll keep you
updated on how to make the most of Windows Live with a special report from Mike
Phillips later this afternoon.
