On Thursday, Six Apart Ltd., a supplier of the software used to create blogs (Typepad and MoveableType - used more for business and professional blogging), unveiled another blog-writing tool dubbed Vox (
http://www.vox.com). The free service, which has been in test mode with 50,000 users for several months, attempts to attract new categories of bloggers and encourage them to publish personal text, photos, audio or videos to share with known acquaintances. It certainly sounds similar to others blogging software solutions, but the company claims that what makes Vox different is its focus on maintaining the private conversation of its users - and here I thougth blogging was about public access. With a focus outside of mass blogging tools, Vox may have a long way to go to topple similar providers but it's at certainly worth a look.
