An Ipsos MORI poll recently found that blogs are a more trusted source of information than TV advertising or e-mail marketing.
In order, the trusted ranks:
- Television advertising
- Email marketing
According to Gareth Deere, head of technology research at Ipsos MORI, "We all trust people's opinion in the real world. Now we've proven the same link online, and it's having a major impact on people's buying behavior."
Chances are, you already have a company blog. But, if you don't, it's time to put one together. And, as always, monitor your blogs, read the comments and be quick to correct issues that your customers are having - before a poor review ends up on their personal blogs and your brand starts suffering damage.
