Does Google penalize virtual hosts or favor dedicated IP addresses? According to Google's popular software engineer Matt Cutts, there is a common misconception that has been circulating in SEO communities for years - having multiple sites hosted on the same IP address will in some way affect the PageRanks of those sites. If you are hosting multiple sites using the same IP address, there is no need to worry as Cutts states "links to virtually hosted domains are treated the same as links to domains on dedicated IP addresses." Now that this case is closed, please proceed with your regular search engine spamming.
