There's hardly ever a day when you see three press releases about one company (unless it's Google) that all catch your attention. Folks, BlinkX is on the move. It's easier to write a summary post of everything that's going on.
- blinkx announced a global partnership with digital entertainment services company RealNetworks. Blinkx will power video search for the new RealPlayer through a video search box embedded in the RealPlayer window.
- blinkx unveiled AdHoc, the first contextually relevant video advertising platform. The AdHoc platform will match TV-style ads to an audience on the Video Web. AdHoc leverages blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it.
- InfoSpace announced a partnership with blinkx to offer video search capabilities for InfoSpace's family of metasearch brands including Dogpile.com. The partnership allows InfoSpace to offer users the same breadth and relevancy of video search results as it does with text-based Web search results.
