Popular social news site Digg has been running a contest to promote the release of the Digg API. While the submissions ended back in May, the winners have now been announced and the results are really impressive - a must see for anyone involved in development or interested in social media marketing.
Entrants had to use the Digg API and the Flash toolkit to create applications which satisfied the criteria of "effective display of data," "usefulness" and "creativity.
The winner was
DiggCity (see below), followed by
Digg Charts and
Digg Expose.
