Find Recent Web Pages At Google

Of all the major search engines, I believe that Google and Ask do the best job of indexing content quickly. I say Ask.com because they've essentially integrated blog results directly into the search results. Google however announced yesterday that in addition to indexing pages quickly and marking the date of first indexing, now also allows restricting search results to a specific date range.

In the past, using the advanced search feature at Google only returned pages indexed in the past 3,6 or 12 months. This same advanced search page has now been updated and is showing four more options to find when web pages were first indexed;  in the past day, week, month and past two months.

While you will only be able to find new pages (not pages that were updated), this will prove immensely valuable to those optimizing their sites (or their clients sites) as it tells us in no uncertain terms that (and when) a page has been indexed.
