Now I know I said that Podcasting was dead, but it doesn't mean that there
aren't serious Web entrepreneurs engaging in the practice. Fortunately, there is
no shortage of valuable resources available to help aspiring podcasters get started. Case
in point, Podango announced today that its solution is now fully integrated with
WordPress and PodPress, providing bloggers with a free hosting platform their
podcasts.
Users will be able to create and manage their own podcasts and utilize the
company's hosting, audience measurement and website creation tools. Podango is
also integrating Kiptronic's dynamic ad insertion, campaign management and
measurement software to its P2 hosting platform. This will let bloggers
dynamically schedule, insert and track pre-roll, mid-roll and post-roll audio
and video advertisements in podcasts.
Back in September, Podango acquired the Gigavox Audio Lite technology which
enables publishers to automate component show assembly and improve
post-production management. Podango publishers will be able to organize show
segments, swap out segments from previously released shows and reuse segments
(intros, credits, etc.) in future programs with the click of a mouse.
