Mozilla has announced the release of a new beta version of Firefox (3.0), the ninth major development release of the popular Web browser. Mozilla is recommending that only developers and testers download the release. Testers can download Firefox 3 Beta 1 builds for Windows, Mac OSX and Linux in over 20 different languages. New features include:

• Improved security features such as a malware protection, stricter SSL error pages, and anti-virus integration in the download manager.
• Improved ease of use with password management, add-on management, resumable downloading, full page zoom and better integration with Windows Vista and Mac OS X
• Richer personalization through one-click bookmarking, smart search bookmark folders and a whole lot more.
