The past few days I've seen a number of statements from
companies announcing that they have integrated Google Analytics into their
service offerings. Today's morning wire featured
StreamSend, an email marketing
solutions provider which announced Google Analytics integration functionality,
enabling customers to gain access to advanced campaign tracking and data
analysis features. MailChimp, another email
service provider also added Google Analytics tracking for client email
campaigns. They are not the only ones however.
LivePerson, the
popular provider of online engagement solutions
announced this week that it too has integrated its live chat technology with
the Google Analytics reporting platform. LivePerson clients will be able to pinpoint
which keywords and marketing campaings drive visitors to chat and inevitably towards conversion. The reports that
will be accessible include:
- Map Overlay Report: Displays volume and quality metrics of
live chat interactions by geographic region
- Search Engines Report: Reveals the sources and keywords that drive interactive
chats (and resulting conversions)
- Reverse Goal Path Report: Lists the navigation paths that lead to the most
chats
“LivePerson’s integration with Google Analytics supplies
valuable information and validates that chat helps our company double conversion
rates over visitors who don’t chat,” said Francis Bilodeau, Web Project Manager
for Drummond Designs. “Instead of having to hypothesize the importance of using
LivePerson’s chat technology, Google Analytics gives us concrete evidence of its
effectiveness and proves our return on investment.”
