No, it's not a late April Fools joke gone awry. Leading global Internet company
Yahoo! announced that it will begin a "limited" test of Google's Adsense for
Search service. Google ads will be delivered alongside Yahoo! search results
during a two week test held exclusively in the U.S. (and not including
Yahoo!'s network of affiliate or premium publisher partners) that will be
limited to no more than 3% of Yahoo! search queries.
Yahoo!'s board of directors is aggressively exploring strategic alternatives to maximize stockholder value (translate that as fighting off Microsoft tooth and nail), including exploration of potential commercial business arrangements. The company noted that the testing does not necessarily mean that Yahoo! will join the AdSense for Search program or that any further commercial relationship with Google will result.
Wait, what was that?
