PepperJam Store Builder

Affiliate/advertising network Pepperjam announced the official launch of its product feed technology called Store Builder.

The program is available to all advertisers and affiliates for free and will allow for the creation of product storefronts from advertiser product feeds. Once you've been approved by the merchants you'd like to feature in your online store, creating the finished products takes just a few minutes. Affiliates can create storefronts based on combinations of merchants, categories and even keywords. Using the Pepperjam search filter, affiliates are also able to display individual products from specific merchants.

Using the word "Store" is a little misleading. Much like other product feed tech offerings, the extent to which it's an actual store is limited to displaying products. Users are still directed to the merchant for additional information and to handle payments.

While PepperJam is certainly not the first to offer store building capabilities (Website Magazine features two alternatives in its November issue) this is definitely a genuine value add for both merchants and affiliates of that network.

I had seen this at Pepperjam when I was logged in as a user.

The only question I had was what about the distorted pictures it serves up. Pretty crummy looking to put on your site. Unless they fix that issue I don't think I would use this store feature.
