The World Organization of Webmasters (WOW) announced their Web Pro Community Challenge, sponsored by Adobe, to benefit Child Family Health International (CFHI). The challenge aims to provide enhanced Web capabilities to these non-profit organizations to place more health science students in underserved communities around the world. In addition to the opportunity for Web professionals to showcase their skills, prizes will be awarded. They include Adobe Creative Suite Premium, a one-year WOW membership, and mentions on the Web Pro Community Challenge website and press releases, among others.
“The Web Pro Community Challenge is designed to test the artistic,
creative, technical and business knowledge and skills of aspiring and practicing
Web professionals while utilizing some of the best tools available, all in a
peer environment and for a great charitable cause,” said Bill Cullifer, WOW’s
Executive Director and Challenge organizer.
“Adobe is excited to work with WOW to provide a way for the passionate community of web professionals to showcase their skills while helping non-profit organizations,” said Sumi Lim Developer Relations Manager, EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa). “It’s a wonderful combination of technology hand-in-hand with philanthropy.”
Participants will use technologies such as Adobe Flex, Flash and AIR. For more information and to participate in this worthy cause, visit WebProChallenge.org.
