The Horizon Interactive Awards announced the 8th annual Call for Entries, officially opening the 2009 international competition.

The awards recognize excellence in interactive media production including the best web sites, cd-roms, dvds, flash, video, kiosks, online ads, and games. Judging is completed by an all-volunteer force of those in the interactive media industry and related fields. End-users and non-designers are also part of the judging panel which gives a unique perspective not found in other award competitions.

The 2007 competition saw over one thousand entries from 26 different countries and nearly all 50 US states. Best of show honors were earned by N-Tara from Johnson City, Tennessee with their business-to-business project, Xerox Global Services XGS Tour.

Deadline to enter is February 20, 2009.
