Most Popular Twitter Clients

A study from Rapleaf on the popularity of Twitter clients has revealed some interesting information – namely that 65% of all tweets sent from computers on the official Twitter site and about 20% of tweets sent from mobile devices.

- Two-thirds of tweets are updated using a computer connected to the Web
- Mobile phone texting is the second most popular client but only account for 1/10 as many tweets
- The top five clients account for 82% of tweets; the top 10 account for over 90% of tweets
- Tweets are sent from over 1900 Twitter clients

Are you a Twitter user? What is your preferred Tweeting method? Through a client such as TweetDeck or through your own computer at Twitter.com?

@webfloss

I prefer using Twitter.com, although recently I have been using Co-Tweet and I am enjoying that also.

For my "Life of Luxury" site (http://www.thelifeofluxury.com) , I primarily use PC based Tweets but will use  my iPhone if I'm on the road.

@sflorio

I use HootSuite because it is web-based. I didn't want to install Adobe Air which is required for TweetDeck. I hear that Adobe Air has the potential for security breaches in the hands of unscrupulous developers.
