Transactional advertising provider Adgregate Markets, the creators of the rather innovative ShopAds technology, has announced a partnership with Gannett-owned PointRoll that will enable PointRoll’s digital marketing clients to integrate e-commerce solutions into their rich media ad campaigns across desktop and mobile platforms. Through the multi-year alliance, Adgregate becomes PointRoll’s partner for in-banner ads that feature secure e-commerce transactions through any publisher or ad network.
Adgregate’s ShopAds allow for purchases directly within banner ads, shortening the path to conversion (see a demonstration here). The platform provides marketers with more insight into their target audience and increases consumer interaction time. According to PointRoll’s recent benchmarks report, rich media provides a 562-percent lift in response/return over standard ads and a 62-percent lift over flash banner ads. Depending on the campaign, including a direct-response element further increases response by 42 percent, with an additional 3-percent increase in brand time.
PointRoll joins a growing list of rich media providers that have selected Adgregate for in-banner e-commerce transactions, and the deal presents a significant partnership across the desktop and mobile environments.
