Two leaders in the location-based technology field have announced a partnership that brings together sophisticated online mapping applications with high-quality geographic information system (GIS) data. By integrating the geographic datasets from Maponics with the spatial development platform by Digital Map Products, the two companies can provide best-of-breed solutions for Web businesses and consumers with interests in location-based and mapping services.
Users can leverage DMP’s SpatialStream platform with Maponics data to develop robust mapping features that will extract greater value from the Maponics Neighborhood Boundaries layer, which includes more than 100,000 neighborhoods in 2,200 cities across the United States and Canada. Digital Map Products currently powers national real estate and local government websites with its Web-enabled mapping solutions that use the company’s pioneering spatial technology.
