Search marketing and optimization agency MoreVisibility launched a new Google Analytics URL Tagging Tool today and it could prove quite useful in lessening some of the pain associated with campaign attribution.
The tagging tool allows users to input the desired destination URL and three pieces of required information (Source, Medium, and Campaign) into the form fields provided. Once submitted, the tool generates a new URL that includes the appropriate Google Analytics Tracking Code. This innovative tool makes generating links with proper analytics tracking mistake-proof and ultimately minimizes overall user error.
“Too often we encountered clients who had not correctly applied tracking code on their marketing campaigns. As a result, they were making decisions based on incomplete or inaccurate data. We think the tool we’ve created fills a significant void for marketers,” said company president Andrew Wetzler.
