Breaking: Google Trusted Stores Arrive

How do consumers know what the best store is as they shop online? Google will tell them, of course.

The company has launched Trusted Stores, a system which allows merchants who meet certain shopping and customer service performance metrics to display the Google Trusted Store badge on their websites (see below).

Merchants are measured on shopping and service metrics such as having a high percentage of orders with on-time shipping, a low average number of days for products to ship, a high percentage of issues resolved quickly, and a low number of customers needing assistance with an issue.

Google is also offering "purchase protection" to customers who order from Trusted Stores and are opted in for the program. If there’s an "eligible" issue (non-receipt of goods, incorrect billing amount, etc.) with an order and shoppers cannot resolve it with the retailer, Google's help can be requested.
