Wordpress announced that version 3.3 is available now for download. The popular blogging platform had over 65 million downloads since verion 3.0 was released. 3.3 offers several improvements in user experience, navigation, uploading and imports.

Users have a new drag-and-drop uplaoder at their disposal, hover menus for the navigation, a new toolbar, better co-editing support and perhaps most interesting is a new importing tool designed specifically for Tumblr. In response to community demands, WordPress has also improved the dashboard experience on tablets including that of the iPad with better touch support.

Remember, before installing the latest version, make sure to backup your files and take a full inventory of active plugins should any issues arise.
