1/3rd of Digital Content Stored in the Cloud by 2016

Digital publishing service Uberflip has published a rather telling infographic about the state of digital content storage and its future, along with some interesting facts and figures about the adoption rates of cloud computing and market readiness on the whole.

“Cloud-based tools and technology are changing the way marketers reach and engage with their audience, such as the ways in which they can now distribute and store content,” explains Neil Bhapkar, Director of Marketing for Uberflip. “Cloud computing can be secure, allows for multi-device distribution, and ultimately enhances the bottom-line through cost savings and more efficient marketing efforts.”

Again, some rather impressive data/research (from Forrester Rsearch, Forbes, Gartner and Cisco) is featured within the infographic - available in full here:

- By 2016, over one-thrid of digital content will be store in the Cloud
- Average storage per household will reach 3.3 terabytes in 2016, up from 464 gigabytes in 2011

"Average storage per household will reach 3.3 terabytes in 2016, up from 464 gigabytes" Wow! That is a big leap. Must be all the high res photos everyone is snapping on their smartphone.
