Flash sales hit the Web a few years ago like, well, a flash. But the trend isn't going away, at least not for one leading electronics retailer.
Newegg has recently announced the launch of a new flash sale site, aptly named NeweggFlash. The site will offer deals on consumer products, from technology and consumer electronics to housewares.
The company is currently offering deals on the homepage between upward of 80 percent on some products, but expect quantities to be limited which will encourage shoppers to act quickly. Newegg is also encouraging shoppers to sing up for an email blast to inform them of the latest (and upcoming deals).
Newegg joins a rather crowded market with NewEggFlash, with Fab.com and others dominating the flash sales landscape. Will it be able to compete? With the dedicated following that NewEgg currently enjoys, competitors should count on it.
