Yahoo has partnered with Getty Images to improve its search functionality.
The announcement, which was made on Yahoo’s recent acquisition, Tumblr, states that when U.S. users leverage Yahoo! Search to look for any place or country, they will see a collection of high-quality Getty Images from that location. In addition, users can hover over photo thumbnails to view details about the image, as well as have the ability to click images in the upper-left-hand corner to view them in a full-screen slideshow.
This update comes after Yahoo's recent redesign for its search platform, which placed results higher up on the page, improved the platform's load time and featured a new navigation bar to make it easier for users to browse other Yahoo! sites.
