Typeface provider Monotype Imaging Holdings has unveiled two new font subscription services to make it easier for users to work with with popular typefaces.
For starters, the Monotype Library Subscription service, which is available on Fonts.com and MyFonts, provides users with the ability to license typefaces for desktop use at an introductory price of $14.99 per month or $119.99 a year. Conversely, the Monotype Enterprise License enables enterprise customers to license any typeface from the Monotype Library for use across their entire organization, including desktops, website and mobile apps, for a single annual fee. This service is ideal for large brands that need extensive rights to a single typeface, and pricing is customized based on customer needs.
“Customers like freelance designers and small agencies enjoy the flexibility, predictability and creative palette that subscription models offer,” said Brett Zucker, senior vice president of product management at Monotype. “The Monotype Library Subscription is perfect for these customers, who need a large library of premium type for their projects, but at a low monthly cost. We’re providing them with instant access to some of the world’s most popular typefaces, as soon and as often as they need it.”
It is important to note that the Monotype Library features popular designs like Frutiger, Helvetica, ITC Avant Garde Gothic, Metro Nova and Neue Haas Unica typeface families, as well as includes additions of new typefaces throughout the year.
