Twitter is making a big change to its real-time Timeline with the launch of a new feature that will help users discover Tweets while they were away from the platform.
When the feature is turned on in a user’s settings, they will see the Tweets they are most likely to care about at the top of their timeline. The Tweets will still be recent and remain in reverse chronological order. What’s more, users can pull-to-refresh their Timeline to see all new Tweets at the top in real-time.
“We've already seen that people who use this new feature tend to Retweet and Tweet more, creating more live commentary and conversations, which is great for everyone,” Twitter said in its announcement.
It is important to note that the feature will be rolling out over the next few weeks. To turn the feature on, users simply need to select the “Show me the best Tweets first” option in their setting.
