Mobile and Web messaging framework Layer announced that nearly 500 live applications are now using its solution.
Companies such as Hinge, GoButler and Trunk Club use Layer's framework to handle millions of messages a day. After integrating Layer, according to the company, app developers are seeing growth in engagement and retention, in some cases of 25 percent, from their users.
Layer released Atlas last year, a front-end tool kit and open source platform that helps developers customize and scale messaging experiences for iOS or Android apps. About 80 percent of Layer's customers currently use Atlas.
"We're excited for the growth we've seen this past year," said Ron Palmeri, CEO of Layer. "Our team has worked hard to provide constant feature updates and a gold standard level of customer service our clients expect. 2016 should be our best year yet."
