Twitter has unveiled a new feature dubbed GIF search, which enables users to easily share GIFs in Tweets and Direct Messages.

With the feature, users can search and browse the GIF library to express how they feel when they are composing a Tweet or Direct Message. What’s more, users can search the library by keyword, as well as browse categories of different reactions, such as “happy dance,” “mic drop” or “YOLO.”

It is important to note that this feature is not only useful for users who want to express exactly how they feel with the perfect GIF, but also for businesses and brands with a presence on Twitter, as they will now have a new way to engage their followers.

According to Twitter, GIF search is beginning to roll out to everyone on iOS, Android and twitter.com over the coming weeks. The available GIFs are courtesy of Twitter’s partners GIPHY and Riffsy.

“So much can be expressed with GIFs, and the key is to find just the right one in the moment that quickly and efficiently expresses your emotions,” says David McIntosh, CEO and co-founder of Riffsy. “We’re excited to explore this partnership with Twitter and watch Twitter users discover and share their favorite GIFs in their daily lives.”
