The user backlash against
Google for its Search Plus Your
World offering may have opened
up new opportunities for search
market competitors such as Bing,
which has been unveiling some impressive
new products of late. Most notably, Bing enhanced its
Webmaster Tools offering with new features such as an organic
keyword research tool that lets search marketers see query volume
data and related phrases across different countries and languages.
The tool also leverages raw organic data on up to six
months’ worth of queries. Other Webmaster Tools updates include
a history option that shows the last 25 queries entered, the ability to
pivot data around selected phrases and related keywords, and the
opening up of the Bing Webmaster Tools API to developers.
