A device that Apple calls “resolutionary,” the third iPad officially
launched in March. So, what makes this different from
the first two iPads? A Retina display, 5MP iSight camera and
ultrafast 4G LTE, for starters. The retina display doubles the
pixel count of the iPad 2; the much-improved camera and
iPhoto app reinforce the emphasis on photography, and
browsing the Internet should prove to be a less time-consuming
task with the tablet’s true 4G capabilities. However,
as Apple already dominates the tablet market, it seems as if
the new iPad’s only real competition
may be its own younger sibling,
iPad 2 — which now has a much
more competitive
price point
starting at
$399.
