website’s revenue, Twitter announced that iOS and Android device
users will start seeing Promoted Tweets in their timelines.
Promoted Tweets are sponsored messages (aka advertisements)

stems from the increasingly large segment of Twitter users that
access the service via mobile devices. According to Twitter,
Promoted Tweets will only appear once in a mobile device’s
timeline, and will only be displayed when relevant to the user.
