my phone is not supported, so I cannot get to the additional content: that sucks!  Is there a way to get to the content by typing in the URL?

I was trying to get to the "50 More social Media Resources" mentioned in the ScanLife window on page 14 of the February2009 issue.  The text says I should be able to get to it by going to the online copy of the magazine.  I've tried it and I can't figure out how to get it to work.  Other pages in the online additional are hyperlinked but not this.

What's the deal?

It's good to see you have integrated 2D barcodes into the magazine, but why did you go with a proprietary format rather than an open format like QR codes?

Scanlife does not support Symbian, which locks out all Nokia and other manufacturer devices, ones which would be more likely to understand and be aware of them.

I am interested in seeing how this works for you!

We get questions on this issue often so I'll do my best to answer. The reason for choosing ScanLife over the other options (QR codes and independent QR code readers) was twofold; first, it's highly trackable and gave us some detailed analytics (something that is attractive to our advertisers) and two, ScanLife actually offers a broader range of phone support than anyone else. In fact, Scanlife actually supports more Nokia phones than any other provider.  Visit www.getscanlife.com from your phone and click on “Choose by Phone Model” if your phone is not recognized - that may have been an initial problem (we didn't include the proper URL).
