Google released a font preview tool this week which enables websites to see how a fonts within its Font Directory will look at different heights, weights, spacing, colors, etc. It was one of our most popular posts of the week. Apparently, our readers are keen on fonts – so more font resources you shall have.

Today FontShop released FontFonter which lets you render a live copy of any Web page using its own proprietary Web fonts. If you’re interested in what your website (or any website) might look like with some FontShop fonts, definitely check it out.

Font prices can be prohibitively expensive so being able to test and preview before spending a great big lump sum could be quite valuable.

Clearspring Technologies, makers of the wildly popular AddThis content sharing platform, has launched Audience Platform which enables advertisers and publishers to reach audiences of influencers and “intenders”. I am not familiar with the term intender – if you are please do comment below and let us know. We could draw some assumptions but why not ask our wicked smart readers?

Clearspring's AddThis platform is currently used by over 1.5MM unique domains to share content including webpages, widgets, photos, and video to over 300 social services such as Facebook, Twitter, and Digg. With the Audience Platform, Clearspring is aiming to leverage its real-time data processing engine to “aggregate and synthesize influence and intent data” from across the platform. Not to put too fine a point on the announcement – but thanks to AddThis, ClearSpring is making its way into the online advertising and publishing game.

"Our focus has been to connect people via content by powering social sharing across the web. Our sharing platform, AddThis, today reaches over 1 billion people online and drives more sharing than any other publisher platform of its kind," said Hooman Radfar, Chief Executive Officer of Clearspring. "Our Audience Platform technology leverages our huge reach and proprietary analytics engine to provide advertisers and publishers with incredibly valuable audiences, as well as provides consumers with advertisements that are of interest, without leveraging personally identifiable information."

Mobile advertising network Greystripe announced integration with mobile advertising mediator AdWhirl which will enable app developers using its SDK to incorporate Greystripe banner ads.

Developers will be able to simultaneously integrate Greystripe and other mobile advertising networks – immensely useful for those interested in optimizing for maximized revenue and fill.

There are quite a few options out of the gate for AdWhirl developers. Greystripe’s iPhone banner product suite includes expandable to full-screen rich media Immersion ad units (which are ideal for those that don’t want users leaving the application – useful for advergames, video and mobile websites). These expandable banners utilize Greystripe’s Lightning Technology, which delivers Flash ads to the iPhone as HTML5.

“Greystripe’s expandable immersion ads are the most engaging available today, which means great revenue for application developers,” said Greystripe VP of Publisher Relations Erica Chriss. “We’re excited to be working with AdWhirl to widen our base of developers."
