Adobe Photoshop Touch Apps for iPad

Several Adobe Photoshop Touch apps were released today including Adobe Color Lava, Adobe Eazel and Adobe Nav for Apple iPad. The apps were developed using the Photoshop Touch Software Development Kit (SDK) and demonstrate the potential for new interaction between Photoshop and tablet devices.

Using the suite of Photoshop Touch apps, Adobe is enabling users to create custom color swatches, paint directly onscreen and use popular Photoshop tools from their tablet devices.

Adobe Color Lava for example allows designers to use their fingertips to mix colors on the iPad, creating custom color swatches and themes which can then be transfered back into Photoshop. Adobe Nav is another app - and an extremely useful one - that will enable designers to extend and improve the creative process while increasing efficiency. The apps lets users select and control Photoshop tools like customizing the toolbar, browsing and zooming in on open files and creating new files.

The Photoshop Touch SDK enables developers to build tablet applications that interact with Photoshop from Android, BlackBerry PlayBook and iOS devices. Utilizing the SDK, developers will have wide access to Photoshop functionality with the freedom to innovate and create new apps or add capabilities to existing ones.

Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 #WINNING

Adobe today announced the availability of Create Suite 5.5 - and the designers and developers rejoice!

Creative Suite 5.5 delivers important advances in HTML5 and Flash authoring, lots of innovation in video production and editing, and some powerful tools for digital publishers (tablets anyone?) for delivering work to multiple platforms, operating systems, browsers, and smartphones.

Over the last year Adobe and publishers including Condé Nast and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia have worked to develop new digital publishing workflows based on Creative Suite and Adobe InDesign®. Prepare to be dazzle - by our estimation Creative Suite 5.5 will enable print publishers like Website Magazine and other to create beautiful interactive publications on the latest tablet platforms (even Android). Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Arrives

This week Adobe announced the new Adobe® Creative Suite® 5.5 product line.

Perhaps the most significant aspect of the release is that designers and developers will be able to target popular and emerging smartphone and tablet platforms. Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 includes the Web Premium Suite, which focuses on mobile applications on Android, Blackberry, Tablet OS, iOS and other platforms. It also uses HTML5 to make rich browser-based content across screens and uses Flash Player for videos, casual games and Internet applications.

The suites are expected to be priced at approximately $2,599 for the Master Collection, $1,899 for Design Premium, $1,799 for Web Premium, $1,699 for Production Premium and $1,299 for Design Standard. Upgrade pricing and volume licensing are available.

Adobe also debuted a subscription-based pricing plan which will be attractive to those wanting in on Creative Suite products, have project-based needs, or are interested in trying the software for the first time. Adobe's new Subscription Editions will provide up-to-date versions of the software, without the upfront cost of full pricing. Customers will be able to use Adobe Photoshop® for as little as $35 per month, Adobe Design Premium CS 5.5 for $95 per month, and the Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Master Collection for $129 per month.
