Perhaps the technology was far ahead of its time, but click-to-call just
won't go away - one might even argue that it's undergoing a bit of a renaissance.

Bravestorm announced the released of its click-to-call offering BoldCall
Express this morning. The service is aimed at small businesses interested in
using the technology for the purpose of lead generation.

"Our goal was to make click-to-call
technology easily accessible to any business that has a website," said
Bravestorm President and CEO Steve Castro-Miller. "To date, the emphasis on
click-to-call products has largely been within the enterprise market. However,
the ability to immediately connect businesses with website prospects is
something small businesses really need in today's economic climate. We've
leveled the playing field with BoldCall Express, enabling accountants, lawyers,
auto dealers, travel agents and real estate agents to field calls from website
visitors anywhere, anytime."

The service is similar in functionality to other click-to-call offerings. An
invitation feature engages website visitors, encouraging them to talk with the
business. Users click a link and can request that someone from the company
call them at a specific number. One advantage for businesses is that those calls
can be routed to any number the business chooses - including mobile
phones. Another interesting feature of the BoldCall Express offering is that it provides business owners with the name of the caller, their city of
origin, the web page where they initially requested the call, and whether the
user has called before.

Pricing has been an issue in the past but this seems to be a reasonable start
cost of $14.99 per month and includes 100 minutes of U.S. or Canada talk time.

Bravestorm are also the makers of BoldChat.
