Comparison shopping engine TheFind has launched its new integration with Facebook that gives consumers more personalized search results and a deeper social shopping experience. Shoppers can now build out their profiles on TheFind by logging in through Facebook and seamlessly adding their favorite stores, brands, products and other “Likes” to their accounts.

The result is more refined individual searches on TheFind, the fastest-growing shopping search engine, targeting the retailers and styles that most closely match a shopper’s stated preferences. When the consumer locates something of interest in TheFind’s search results, they can click on the Like button that ties back in to the retailer’s page on Facebook.

Users can also choose to let their friends see which brands and stores they like while searching on TheFind, and profile pictures and the total number of likes are displayed in the results. The opportunity for merchants is a significant one - particularly with the holidays approaching - as those that are registered with the Find and have a presence on Facebook can provide updates to millions of shoppers through their Facebook news feeds.

TheFind sends qualified leads to more than 150,000 retailers each month, and merchants can register for free at the Merchant Center.

Comparison shopping site Become.com has created a new program to help consumers determine which online retailers have mobile-compatible storefronts. An increasing amount of shoppers are using their mobile devices to compare prices between local and online stores, making it vitally important for e-commerce merchants to have their sites properly formatted for mobile shopping.

Become.com’s Mobile Shopping site contains editorial reviews of each merchant’s mobile compliance, such as whether a store’s website renders properly on a consumer’s mobile browser. Become.com also reviews shopping apps for the iPhone, iPad, Blackberry and Android markets. The site also awards certification to mobile-friendly retail sites so that shoppers can look for the Mobile Certified Badge to know they are on a website where they will have a seamless mobile retail experience.
