Magazine, I keep encountering noteworthy companies in the e-commerce space.
Case in point - DropToMe.com - an
e-commerce meets social networking website. The site features a drag and drop
interface that allows users to create and share their lists and receive
personalized recommendations. Not revolutionary by any means, but what is
interesting from a high-level standpoint is that the industry is starting to see
far greater numbers of recommendation engines and standalone technologies. Where
DropToMe.com might stand out is in its recommendation algorithm, which delivers
recommendations based on comparisons rather than rankings, matching users based
on their product lists. This also allows for social networking based on shared
interests.

e-commerce companies and technologies in our August issue.
