A new plugin from email software provider mxHero enables marketers to receive alerts if there has been no response to their message.

The Reply Timeout plugin works by allowing the user to be notified if the recipient does not respond in a specified amount of time. For example, if an email marketer sends out a time-sensitive sales proposal to a prospect and sets a Reply Timeout for two days, they will receive an email notification if the prospect does not respond within that period.

“Many emails involve some type of question, for example, ‘Can you attend the meeting’ or ‘What price should we go with,’ ” says Alexis Panagides, CEO of mxHero. Most of those questions are expecting a response sooner rather than later. But in the course of our busy days we can forget some of those questions, and Reply Timeout is a nice and easy way to keep on top of all that.”

mxHero is an open-source software platform that can be installed with any email system, and the new plugin works with all email clients on desktop, Web or mobile. The current release of mxHero includes more than 18 plugins, visual reports and statistics.
