Google has released a program specifically for hosting companies that offers the customers of these web hosting providers direct access to Webmaster Tools, AdSense, Custom Search and Site Search.

Hosting companies can go beyond just offering these tools to customers from their websites. They can even go as far as integrating the Google services directly into their control panels so customers can create accounts, submit sitemaps, add site search, and place ads (Adsense) on their sites while using their hosting service. Hosting companies that sign on as partners can display the program badge on their sites to highlight the integration to customers. Should anyone upgrade to Google Site Search or become AdSense members, these hosting companies are eligible to earn referral fees.

Hosting companies will need to open a Google Apps account and receive approval as a Google Services for Websites access provider. Google will then configure the new partner's Google Apps account for the program, and the integrating with Google API (which uses standard HTTP requests) can begin.

__________

What's One Great Idea Worth?
Upgrade to a professional-level membership from Website Magazine and find out!
