80 million member strong professional network LinkedIn today formally launched Company Pages.

Powered by LinkedIn's new InPages platform, businesses using Company Pages will be better able to showcase their products, services and recommendations. LinkedIn has profiled over 40 companies (including HP, Microsoft, Samsung, AT&T, Dell and others) who now have their "Products and Services" tab enabled. The feature will be rolled out to all companies this week.

Most noteworthy about the enhancement is that Company pages allow LinkedIn users to showcase recommendations from customers. Each time a member endorses your products or services, their recommendation becomes visible to their connections. In addition to product and service endorsements, businesses can display videos, featured product information and targeted ads on their Company Pages.

“Company Pages take product and service recommendations to another level, allowing professionals to benefit from the considered perspectives of those whom they trust and relate to the most – the people they know,” said Jeff Weiner, chief executive officer of LinkedIn. “By displaying their strongest recommendations to prospective customers and employees on LinkedIn, businesses can use Company Pages to accelerate growth and trust in their brands.”
