OpenX Technologies, a company that develops digital (and mobile) advertising technology, recently announced the acquisition of JumpTime, which will allow OpenX to leverage JumpTime’s content optimization platform in conjunction with its advertising technology to provide a unique content and advertising system to its customers.

If you’re unfamiliar with JumpTime, it is another technology company that aims to help publishers calculate the financial value of their content assets in real-time, allowing them to use the service to optimize their revenue by increasing user engagement with their most valuable content, while also providing them with various tools to act upon this information. JumpTime features a number of notable media companies in its list of clients, including MTV, Nickelodeon, Yahoo! and Amazon.

The core of JumpTime’s valuation technology is made up of various real-time algorithms that it uses to determine just how much content is worth. However, what really makes the product so useful is a number of tools that help customers put all of that information into action. This includes the Traffic Valuator application, which provides support tools for online editors that suggest the placement of headlines, photos and videos based on how well the content drives users to the site’s “most valuable” areas. These tools have led to revenue increases of up to 90 percent for some JumpTime customers, and all without purchasing any additional advertising.

By integrating JumpTime’s technology into its platform, OpenX can now (for the first time in the history of digital advertising, no less) ensure its publishing partners that they will receive the highest possible price for their advertising; plus, it will also show the page and videos views that drive the most engagement and highest value.

Digital advertising technology provider OpenX announced that it has officially acquired supply side platform LiftDNA. The LiftDNA platform, which is currently integrated with OpenX, will give all publishers a better way to optimize their advertising revenue.

LiftDNA is a yield optimization technology that works with a publishers’s ad serve to manage all non-guaranteed demand channels including Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs), ad networks, traditional SSPs and exchanges – from inside the ad server. The LiftDNA platform is then able to process all available pricing information for the publisher and maximize competition and revenue, and because it operates within the ad server, LiftDNA reduces discrepancies and system latency, both of which further increase publisher revenue.

“Building yield optimization directly into the ad server breaks the mold of remote, third-party services, dramatically increases revenue and aligns perfectly with OpenX’s vision of providing publishers with a comprehensive revenue serving platform,” says Tim Cadogan, chief executive officer of OpenX. “We’re delighted to be able to bring this superior monetization solution to publishers around the world.”

Ad technology provider (ad server) OpenX announced a new version of OpenX Enterprise, the company’s Software as a Service product for large publishers. What makes the new system unique is that its technology now combines the ad serving prowess OpenX is known for with real-time bidding on ad inventory.

OpenX is positioning the platform as one designed to let publishers efficiently manage a variety of digital revenue streams and optimize non-guaranteed and real-time bid based advertising demand through a single interface. "We're extremely excited to launch the brand new version of OpenX Enterprise because it really attacks some of the most fundamental challenges facing publishers today," said Tim Cadogan, chief executive officer, OpenX. "Specifically, we think it's vital for all of a publisher's ad revenue streams to compete in a way the publisher can understand and control in a consistent way."

The company also announced that several major digital businesses around the world are adopting OpenX Enterprise. These customers include Groupon in the United States, Orange-France Telecom Group in Europe and Excite Japan in Japan. The platform becomes available to all publishers today.

announced the launch of its professional services and suppot packages for Web
