The new job search tool that helps hiring managers find the ideal candidate has already launched a few new upgrades, as well as grabbed attention from professionals that work for some of America’s largest companies.

The new upgrades from Recmnd.Me help improve several aspects of the website and user experience, including a new homepage that highlights top professionals and notable companies based on searches from the Web, as well as the ability to import Gmail contacts for a faster way to recommend someone, the option for users to feature multiple email addresses to increase the chances of never missing a recommendation and a progress bar on the profile page that notifies users what information is needed for a complete profile.

“Our goal is to create a user experience that benefits both the job seeker and the recruiter – for those looking for work, and employers looking for the best talent out there,” says Jesse Gant, CEO and Co-Founder of Recmnd, Inc. “These updates to the website should help us accomplish this goal with a more functional interface while maintaining the simplicity that’s vitally important for the online recommendation and referral process.”

Additionally, some of the first users of Recmnd.me include professionals from top companies, including Twitter, Google, IBM, Amazon, Coca-Cola, HP, Microsoft, GM, Yahoo, T-Mobile, AOL, Groupon, American Express, Rosetta Stone, Priceline.com, Oakley, Klout, Intuit, Salesforce.com and Clear Channel Communications.

“When we launched Recmnd.Me, we were hoping it would be the go-to website for working professionals to refer coworkers and friends,” says Gant. “Seeing so many incredibly talented employees from some of the most impressive companies out there is a huge validation of what we set out to do when we created the site. And the more people who sign up and recommend others, the better the site is at returning accurate rankings for recruiters or HR pros.”

There is a new tool on the Web that will help hiring managers find the perfect candidate for open positions – and it doesn’t come from LinkedIn.

The tool is called Recmnd.Me, which is a platform that helps improve social recruiting and professional networking by allowing coworkers to recommend and rate each other. The site just finished private beta, and is now launching to the public.

Recmnd.Me uses job titles, keywords, companies and locations as ranking metrics, so employers and recruiters can target the best candidates for open positions – such as the most qualified software engineer in San Francisco or the top salesperson at a particular company. Rankings and profiles can also be shared through email, Twitter, Facebook, or as embeddable widgets.

The goal of this platform is to help with one of the biggest struggles that many HR professionals face, which is finding the best talent. Even though today's economy leads to a steady stream of resumes filing in for job openings, most candidates are unqualified or lack particular skills. However, Recmnd.me isn't only valuable for recruiters, because it also shows employees where they rank amongst their peers in their chosen profession.

“We want job seekers to take an active role in managing their careers,” says Jesse Gant, CEO and Co-Founder of Recmnd, Inc. “You need to know how you rank against your competition and what keywords and specialties best define you and, more importantly, set you apart. It’s fun to look at data points across companies and geographic locations to find the best and highest ranked professionals in a particular industry.”

Recmnd.Me recommendations can only be submitted by referrers who know the person that they are recommending's email address. This increases the accuracy of refferals because there is a higher probability of having experience with the recommended person. Additionally, individual scores are not shared among users, in order to encourage honest and thoughtful recommendations.

LinkedIn has announced Talent Pipeline, a new solution that aims at helping companies efficiently recruit talent, all in one place.

The solution is a one-stop shop for recruiters to track and stay connected with all of their talent leads, from any source. However, the solution won’t be available until the first half of 2012, and, it will only be available to those with either a standard Recruiter seat license or to those that purchase a new LinkedIn Talent Pipeline seat.

To use Talent Pipeline, recruiters must import leads and resumes, which are then automatically connected to their LinkedIn record and are able to be searched, tracked and shared across the team. Then, leads should be connected to their profiles with up-to-date data and insights from LinkedIn – like recommendations, activity updates, shared connections, groups and more. New tools will also be available for tagging and tracking sources and statuses, which will help recruiters manage talent in the pipeline.

The solution will also provide search filters that will allow recruiters to search by status, activity conducted on a lead, as well as the data that the team has created, such as tags and notes.

Additionally, Pipeline reports will help users manage recruiting, including reporting on leads for a specific role, top sources of leads and the status of leads in the pipeline.

Thanks to the current economic situation, employment sites are experiencing an
increase in both the quantity of visitors and the number of job searches and the
industry as a whole is seeing quite a bit of innovation. Take Fresho for
example, which has changed its business concept from a simple job board site to
a job aggregator and job search engine.

In addition to crawling the Internet for job openings, Fresho also accepts direct
listings (for free) from job boards, applicant tracking systems, job ad
distribution systems and direct employers in XML format - at no charge if you
run a service such as this and are keeping score at home. Companies as
TalentZoo.com, Jobs2Web.com, AllHealthCareJobs.com, PharmaDiversity.com,
MEPjobs.com and AccountingJobsToday.com are among the first to list job ads in
Fresho. Companies looking for additional exposure for job ads can advertise
their openings on a CPC basis.

It's important to note that Fresho uses the SimplyHired.com API, which
lets publishers use a database of millions of jobs to create custom job search
sites, job widgets, mashups, and career-related Internet applications. Partners
participating in the affiliate program are compensated every time a visitor
clicks a sponsored job. You have to give credit and kudos to Fresho, however, for
seeing the opportunity.

Choose wisely and reap the many
rewards. Choose poorly and start over at square one, hoping no long-term damage
was done to your brand or your bottom line. Fetch technologies introduced an
interesting technology this week dubbed Fetch
Footprint which leverage the deep Web to vet employment candidates.

Using advanced artificial intelligence and deep Web extraction technologies,
Fetch Footprint will access candidate data from public local, state and federal
information sources and millions of social and professional network posts to
make the most informed hiring decisions possible.

“While most employers routinely Google candidates as part of the hiring process,
Fetch Footprint goes substantially deeper,” says Jerry Thurber, President of
Fetch Footprint, a division of Fetch Technologies’ Employee Data Services Group.
“Footprint automates what would take hundreds of man-hours to otherwise
discover. For those involved with recruiting, contracting, screening or hiring
decisions, the web provides a vast array of information – if you know what to
look for. Footprint is designed to intelligently parse data relevant to hiring
decisions.”
