Web hosting provider Hostway announced the expansion its existing hosted storage solutions today with the availability of an Enterprise-Class Shared SAN (storage area network) product.

Shared SAN can augment existing hosted storage offerings including direct and network attached high performance storage arrays. For customers with high volume or high performance requirements, Hostway is positioning its offerings as an add-on storage solution to help cost-effectively augment internetal storage available with their dedicated or virtual server offerings.

“The new Shared SAN solution solves a significant problem for our customers” said Todd Benjamin, director of Enterprise Hosting. “Now server customers can access high performance, reliable, and virtually unlimited storage on a service basis as the needs of their businesses dictate.”
