The rapid pace of the Web, and mobile Web in particular, means the quicker developers and advertisers can get application analytics data, the better off they’ll be.

Mobile customer intelligence solution Kontagent recognized this fact, and used it as the foundation for its latest analytics solution offering, the Kontagent Partner Edition, which it created in conjunction with (and provided exclusively through) mobile advertising and publishing platform Tapjoy.

Now, Tabjoy’s publishing and advertising partners will be able to use the Kontagent Partner Edition to receive “valuable” app data in near real-time. This will provide both developers and advertisers with key insights about their applications, which they can then use to provide better user experiences, improve their acquisition campaigns and maximize monetization.

“Whether you’re an advertiser, small studio or larger publisher, you need access to in-app data in order to understand how to present the right offer to the right user at the right time,” says Jeff Tseng, CEO of Kontagent. “Many fledgling developers are not yet able to afford our enterprise solution, but we hope that by using the Partner Edition, they learn how to leverage data to grow their businesses.”

Tapjoy has launched a new mobile video advertising platform called Tapjoy Videos.

The platform is designed to provide advertisers with reach, impact and the brand building power of TV joined with the targeting and user engagement that is offered by Tapjoy’s pay-for-performance ad marketplace.

“Video ads are expected to be one of the fastest growing segments of the mobile advertising industry, which according to Gartner is predicted to balloon to more than $20 billion by 2015,” says Mihir Shah, president and CEO of Tapjoy. “Clearly, advertisers are bullish on mobile video ads, and we help them reach more than 50 million people per day in a way that allows them to engage with their audiences in much deeper and more meaningful ways than TV ads ever could.”

Tapjoy Videos allow advertisers to sponsor content within applications, which enables consumers to unlock premium features or content in exchange for watching videos. This sponsorship is beneficial for both, the consumer and advertiser. The consumer receives premium application features, while the advertiser captures the consumer’s attention. Tapjoy Videos offer pay-for-completed-view pricing to guarantee results, and is a cheaper avenue than TV advertising.

Furthermore, with Tapjoy videos, consumers choose which video they want to watch. This means that the viewer is already more interested and engaged in the video than they would be interested in an alternative advertisement.

Upon completion of the video, advertisers can give consumers options for engagement. Engagement options include following the company on Facebook or Twitter, forwarding the video to friends or visiting the advertiser’s website.

Many big brand names are participating in the Tapjoy Video launch, including Gap, Old Navy, Gamefly, eHarmony, Netflix, Intuit and Zygna.

Developers can integrate Tapjoy Videos by downloading the Tapjoy Publisher SDK, and advertisers interested in Tapjoy Videos should contact adsales@tapjoy.com.

Tapjoy, a company who specializes in mobile content monetization platforms, made a blockbuster announcement this week that they have partnered with many top iOS and Android application developers, which allows them to deliver safe, consumer-friendly and ad-funded payment options to over ten thousand apps.

Tapjoy's platform utilizes virtual goods, currencies and banner ads to increase a developer's app revenue. They are based on a "pay-per" model that rewards users for completing actions, such as downloading another app in Tapjoy's (or the developer's) network, or some other, game-specific action based on what they're currently playing.

Some of the prominent developers who have partnered with Tapjoy are OMGPOP, Moblyng, Craneballs Studios, Game Circus and Spry Fox and, yes, those are really their names. These companies have a global reach of about 250 million consumers with approximately 30 million daily active users. (How can anybody not be drawn to games like OMGPOP's Puppy World?) That's a lot of people and, potentially, a lot of revenue.

In a day and age where mobile advertising is steadily rising, those developers most attuned to leveraging their virtual currencies are going to find themselves coming out on top. It's also important, however, that developers woo new users to their existing long tail of apps.

Many of Tapjoy's latest publishers also serve as advertisers for the company by acquring new installs and qualified user engagements through the company's performance-driven ad marketplace. Currently, Tapjoy claims to deliver over 1 million ad completions every day for both app developers and brand advertisers.

Still, many consumers remain weary about the action-reward model of mobile gaming, but it has proven to be a lucrative market for some developers.

The provider of monetization, distribution and publishing services for social and mobile applications announced it received $21 million in financing (bringing the company’s total funding to over $40 million), and giving further validity to the claim that social and mobile are here to stay.

According to the announcement, the new capital will be used to "further solidify Tapjoy’s leadership in application distribution and monetization on the iOS, Android and Facebook platforms as well as to fund growth across emerging application ecosystems domestically and internationally. Tapjoy will also use the funds to further invest in application media licensing and incubation opportunities."

Tapjoy's highly touted distribution services include the cross-platform viral notification channel Social K-Factor (formally called SocialKast), the cross-app promotion bar AppStrip, and the industry’s most powerful and cost-effective Pay-Per-Install advertising network. 5,000 app developers and advertisers currently partner with Tapjoy for monetization and distribution of their games and applications.

“This is a very exciting time to be an application developer, with opportunities that span across platforms and regions. We are thrilled to support application entrepreneurs with our industry leading infrastructure, monetization and distribution IP and services,” said Mihir Shah, president and CEO of Tapjoy. “We also look forward to continuing our strong and dedicated working relationships with Apple, Facebook, Google, Yahoo and the other social and mobile platforms we invest in and support.”
