In June 2012, online shopping transactions reached £6 billion, or £117 per person. That’s up 13% over last year´s numbers but down 1% from May 2012. Sales of home entertainment and televisions increased significantly, as did the travel sector which experienced an annual increase of 17%. By contrast, sales in the clothes sector registered an annual growth of just 4% (but figures were 9% down over May). The biggest surge in revenue came in the accessories sector, which soared by 47%.

Also according to the Capgemini report, mobile commerce is still seeing remarkable development, with 356% year-on-year growth which accounts for nearly 8% of the total digital income for UK retailers.
